In “Spider-Man 3,” Peter Parker, played by Tobey Maguire, has become comfortable in his dual identities as Spider-Man and a photographer at the Daily Bugle. Things take a turn when an extraterrestrial symbiote lands on Earth and attaches itself to Peter’s suit, amplifying his powers but also bringing out his darker side.

As Peter becomes more aggressive and arrogant, he begins to alienate his girlfriend Mary Jane Watson, played by Kirsten Dunst, and best friend Harry Osborn, played by James Franco. Meanwhile, an escaped convict named Flint Marko falls into an experimental particle accelerator during a chase with police and is turned into a sand-like creature known as Sandman.

Peter’s life gets even more complicated when Harry discovers that his father Norman Osborn was the original Green Goblin and seeks revenge against Peter for his father’s death. Harry dons the mantle of the new Green Goblin and teams up with Sandman to take down Spider-Man.

As this is all happening, Eddie Brock Jr., played by Topher Grace, is competing with Peter for a staff photographer position at the Daily Bugle. When Brock gets fired due to falsifying photos of Spider-Man, he blames Peter and bonds with the same symbiote that had previously attached itself to Spidey.

The final battle takes place between Spider-Man and three villains: New Goblin, Sandman, and Venom (the name Eddie gives himself after bonding with the symbiote). In the midst of the fight, Mary Jane is taken hostage by Venom who threatens to kill her if Spider-Man doesn’t surrender.

With help from Harry who has a change of heart about seeking revenge on Peter after learning about how much his father really loved him as a son, Spider-Man defeats both Sandman and Venom while Harry sacrifices himself in order to save Peter from one of Venom’s attacks.

In the end, Peter realizes that he needs to let go of his arrogance and embrace his responsibility as a hero, leading him to finally repair his relationship with Mary Jane. The movie ends with Peter walking away from a new villain, the symbiote left behind by Eddie Brock Jr., that he decides to leave behind in favor of being true to himself and not giving in to the temptation of power.

review

Spider-Man 3 is a superhero movie that was released in 2007. Directed by Sam Raimi, the movie features Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, who is struggling to balance his personal life and responsibilities as a superhero. The movie also stars Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson and James Franco as Harry Osborn.

The plot of Spider-Man 3 revolves around Peter Parker’s struggles with himself after acquiring an alien symbiote that amplifies his aggression and negative emotions. To make matters worse, he has to face new villains including Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) and Venom (Topher Grace), who are both seeking revenge against Spider-Man for different reasons.

One of the strengths of this movie is its action sequences which are visually stunning and well choreographed. The fight scenes are intense and fast-paced, and each villain presented unique challenges for Spider-Man to overcome. The CGI effects used in the movie were groundbreaking for their time, making the web-slinging scenes look realistic and impressive.

Another thing that stands out about this movie is its soundtrack, which includes popular songs such as “Signal Fire” by Snow Patrol and “Falling Star” by Jet. The music adds to the overall atmosphere of the movie, elevating it to another level.

However, while Spider-Man 3 has its moments of brilliance, it also suffers from some weaknesses. The film tries to juggle too many storylines at once which can lead to confusion for viewers. Some subplots seem unnecessary or underdeveloped, such as the relationship between Gwen Stacy (Bryce Dallas Howard) and Eddie Brock (Topher Grace), which felt rushed and forced.

Moreover, some characters’ motivations were unclear or inconsistent throughout the film, particularly Harry Osborn’s attempts to seek vengeance against Peter Parker while simultaneously trying to protect him from Venom’s attacks. This lack of consistency made it hard for audiences to empathize with the characters.

Overall, Spider-Man 3 is a decent superhero movie that offers some thrilling action sequences and a memorable soundtrack. However, its convoluted plot and underdeveloped subplots prevent it from reaching the heights of its predecessors. Despite these flaws, fans of the franchise will find plenty to enjoy in this movie, particularly those who appreciate high-octane action and stunning visuals.

As a child, I was moved by the movie “The Bad News Bears Go to Japan” where Japanese professional baseball players and American actors performed in front of a large audience. This made me fall in love with the movie. This blog is my review of the movie that I actually saw. Please use it as a reference when renting movies.

For a long time, in between housework,
I would go to the movie theater to watch films and then write reviews of the movies in a diary which I stored away in a closet.
When I showed these reviews to Azesan, he suggested turning them into a website.
I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I may be nearing the end of my life, but if reading my reviews can move the hearts of younger people,
I think that would be wonderful.
It may even become a catalyst for various realizations and changes in their lives moving forward.
