After the death of King T’Chaka, his son T’Challa returns to Wakanda to take up the mantle of Black Panther and become the new king. However, he faces challenges from rival factions within his own kingdom who seek to overthrow him and seize power for themselves.

One such faction is led by Erik Killmonger, a skilled warrior who seeks to use Wakanda’s advanced technology and resources to wage against other countries and free oppressed peoples around the world. Killmonger has a personal vendetta against T’Challa because he believes that his father was wrongfully killed by T’Chaka many years ago.

As TChalla struggles with these internal challenges, he is also faced with external threats from Ulysses Klaue, a notorious arms dealer who has stolen vibranium from Wakanda. With the help of CIA agent Everett Ross, T’Challa sets out to capture Klaue and recover the stolen vibranium before it can fall into the wrong hands.

Along the way, T’Challa is aided by his sister Shuri, who provides him with advanced technology including a new suit made of vibranium that enhances his strength and agility in battle. He is also helped by Nakia, a former lover who now works as a spy for Wakanda.

Despite their best efforts, however, T’Challa and his allies are unable to prevent Killmonger from seizing power in Wakanda. With his newfound authority, Killmonger begins implementing his radical agenda of using Wakandan technology to arm oppressed people around the world and topple governments that he deems corrupt.

In a final showdown between Black Panther and Killmonger, both men fight tooth and nail for control over Wakanda’s future. In the end, it is T’Challa who emerges victorious thanks to his superior skills and training as well as help from his allies. Killmonger dies, but not before he makes T’Challa realize that Wakanda’s isolationist policies have kept them from helping the oppressed people of the world for too long.

In the aftermath of his victory, T’Challa decides to open up Wakanda to the rest of the world and use their advanced technology to help those in need. He also recognizes that he cannot rule alone and enlists the help of Nakia, Shuri, and other trusted allies to guide him as he leads Wakanda into a new era of prosperity and peace.

review

“Black Panther” is a captivating Marvel superhero film that takes the viewers on a thrilling journey to Wakanda, a fictional African nation with advanced technology and rich culture. The movie revolves around T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, who is crowned as the king of Wakanda after the death of his father. However, he soon faces challengers who threaten his leadership and the future of Wakanda.

One of the strengths of “Black Panther” is its exceptional ensemble cast. Each actor brings depth and nuance to their characters, making them more than just one-dimensional superheroes or villains. Danai Gurira’s Okoye stands out with her fierce loyalty to Wakanda, while Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger delivers a powerful performance as a complex villain with a tragic backstory. Lupita Nyong’o and Letitia Wright also shine in their roles as Nakia and Shuri respectively.

Another standout element in the film is its production design. From Wakanda’s breathtaking landscapes to its high-tech gadgets and sleek costumes, everything feels like it belongs in this fictional world. The attention to detail truly transports the audience into an immersive experience.

One theme that runs throughout “Black Panther” is that of identity and belonging. As an African American filmmaker himself, director Ryan Coogler explores what it means to be African while living in America through Killmonger’s character arc. His struggle for acceptance within his own community mirrors real-life experiences faced by many Black Americans.

The film also addresses issues such as imperialism, colonization, and isolationism - topics that are not typically explored in superhero movies. It challenges viewers to consider how they might respond if they had access to Wakanda’s resources and technology.

Overall, “Black Panther” is a groundbreaking film for representation in Hollywood - providing representation for black people both on-screen and off-screen through its predominantly black cast and crew. It has sparked important conversations about diversity and inclusion in the film industry. However, it is important to note that the film is not without flaws. Some of the action sequences can be hard to follow, and some plot points could have been fleshed out more.

In conclusion, “Black Panther” is a must-see film for any Marvel fan or anyone who enjoys a well-crafted superhero movie with a meaningful message. It celebrates African culture and inspires hope for a future where representation and diversity are valued in all aspects of media.

As a child, I was moved by the movie “The Bad News Bears Go to Japan” where Japanese professional baseball players and American actors performed in front of a large audience. This made me fall in love with the movie. This blog is my review of the movie that I actually saw. Please use it as a reference when renting movies.

For a long time, in between housework,
I would go to the movie theater to watch films and then write reviews of the movies in a diary which I stored away in a closet.
When I showed these reviews to Azesan, he suggested turning them into a website.
I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I may be nearing the end of my life, but if reading my reviews can move the hearts of younger people,
I think that would be wonderful.
It may even become a catalyst for various realizations and changes in their lives moving forward.
