It was just an ordinary day in July when the world received a shocking news - giant alien spaceships had been spotted hovering above major cities across the globe. Panic and chaos ensued as people speculated about the intentions of these extraterrestrial beings. Were they peaceful visitors or hostile invaders?

Among the many affected by this historic event were David Levinson, a cable technician who worked for the White House, and Captain Steven Hiller, a Marine Corps pilot who yearned to be part of a mission that would make history. As fate would have it, both men found themselves at the forefront of humanity’s defense against the alien threat.

David had discovered that the aliens were using Earth’s own satellites to coordinate their attack on our planet. With this knowledge, he teamed up with President Whitmore to devise a plan to take down these satellites and deliver a crippling blow to the alien ships.

Meanwhile, Captain Hiller was among the few pilots selected to participate in a daring counter-attack against one of the alien ships that had landed in Area 51. Along with his friend and fellow pilot Russell Casse, Hiller piloted his F/A-18 Hornet towards the ship armed with nuclear missiles.

The battle that followed was unlike anything humanity had ever witnessed before. The skies were filled with dogfights between human jets and alien fighters while city after city fell under attack from powerful energy beams fired by massive mother ships.

Despite suffering huge losses, including Russell Casse sacrificing himself by flying his plane straight into an alien ship’s main weapon, humankind managed to deliver a fatal blow to the aliens thanks to David’s ingenious plan involving a computer virus and Jeff Goldblum’s iconic line “Welcome to Earth!”.

With their technology disabled, all but one of the mother ships were destroyed as humans around the world cheered at this incredible victory over impossible odds.

But the cost was high. Millions had lost their lives, including the First Lady of the United States and many others who bravely fought against the aliens. But as President Whitmore declared in his iconic speech, humanity had come together as one to fight for its survival, and it was this spirit of hope and resilience that ultimately saved us from extinction.

In the aftermath of the alien invasion, humanity began to rebuild and prepare for any future threats from outer space. David and Captain Hiller became heroes celebrated across the world for their bravery in defending our planet against impossible odds.

And so ended a chapter in human history that would be forever remembered as a time when we faced our greatest challenge yet emerged victorious thanks to our indomitable spirit, courage, and determination.

review

Independence Day is a 1996 American science fiction film directed by Roland Emmerich. The movie follows the story of humanity’s struggle against an alien invasion during the United States’ Independence Day holiday.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, and Bill Pullman. The special effects in this movie are impressive, even by today’s standards. The visuals of the large alien ships hovering over major cities are thrilling to watch, and the destruction caused by their attacks is both realistic and terrifying.

One of the strongest aspects of this movie is its ability to balance humor with action and drama. Will Smith plays his character with wit and charm, delivering some of the movie’s most memorable one-liners. Jeff Goldblum also provides comic relief as David Levinson, a computer expert who discovers the aliens’ plan.

The plot of Independence Day is engaging and keeps the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the movie. As the aliens launch their attack on Earth, humanity must band together to fight back against this common enemy. While this may seem like a formulaic plotline for a sci-fi movie, Independence Day executes it well and adds enough unique elements to keep things fresh.

One weakness of Independence Day is its lack of character development. While some characters do get fleshed out more than others (such as President Whitmore played by Bill Pullman), many feel like they could have been interchangeable with any other actor in that role.

Another issue with Independence Day is its heavy use of clich?s. From the heroic president giving an inspiring speech to defeating a seemingly unbeatable foe through pure luck or coincidence, tropes like these are used throughout the movie. While they can be fun in small doses, their abundance in this film makes them feel tired and overused.

Overall, Independence Day is an entertaining science fiction film that has stood the test of time. Its impressive special effects, engaging plot, and well-balanced tone make it a classic in the genre. While it may have some flaws in its characters and use of clich?s, these issues are outweighed by the movie’s strengths. If you’re looking for an action-packed sci-fi adventure with a touch of humor and heart, Independence Day is definitely worth watching.

As a child, I was moved by the movie “The Bad News Bears Go to Japan” where Japanese professional baseball players and American actors performed in front of a large audience. This made me fall in love with the movie. This blog is my review of the movie that I actually saw. Please use it as a reference when renting movies.

For a long time, in between housework,
I would go to the movie theater to watch films and then write reviews of the movies in a diary which I stored away in a closet.
When I showed these reviews to Azesan, he suggested turning them into a website.
I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I may be nearing the end of my life, but if reading my reviews can move the hearts of younger people,
I think that would be wonderful.
It may even become a catalyst for various realizations and changes in their lives moving forward.
